Hi all,
Just picked up my Freelander 2 from the good people at MotaBars in Leamington Spa who kindly and very professionally fitted my head unit I sourced via aliexpress.
I was a little worried about how it would go but first signs are great, all the car stuff still works and now I have decent sat nav.

Time will tell if this was worth it, but the last month trying to drive 2000 miles on a 10 year old sat nav was terrible. My Garmin wouldn't work through the glass in the car so had to rely on the built in. Now I can use waze or maps.

Just a bit sad I've lost my clock as this is a 2013 newer dash model

From memory, the time based service intervals also get the time from the clock on the HU, as do the diagnostic time stamps.
