Hello everyone on Landyzone!
I came here for advice, and i got it fairly quick (so thanks for that) and I was also tipped off that I'd better introduce myself before expecting too many favours!
I've dreamed about owning a Landrover for years, now I've got a lovely black Disco3 (base spec, 54 reg, 135K miles, manual) which I love.
It came with a personal plate (not included in the sale!) and the previous owner said she would sort the number plate paperwork after the sale and let me know when to revert to the original reg plate. Six months later I've heard nothing. I don't think she will get very far without my copy of the V5 now...!
Anyway, "Discovery3" (the team of machine & driver) has been a few (silly) places in the last few months: my favourite relaxation is the old gravel quarry and nearby wodland; we've been through 650mm deep river (with young family on board :doh
; we've tried steep banks and we've rescued flooded vehicles from a ford.
Well any vehicle that's done 135K is going to need some attention, and i'm not new to the idea of getting up to the elbows in grease (done two engine changes on smaller cars) but I tend to put this one into the garage now as I don't often find the time... :yawn: So I'm on here, and hope to learn a lot from the experienced guys! :blah:
