Hi all
finally after 5 years of driving (22 now) i got a defender 90 i live in south shields any locals on here my last car was a 2ltr turbo rs megane part ex it for my new pride and joy traveled all way to manchester for her when got there instantly fell in love with it came with a folder full of paper work pictures and receipts so took it away and my got it was an eye opener on the drive home all over the road loud but i had the biggest smile on my face and some points laughing to my self
after getting home 4 hours later i started to go through all the massive history and reading it starting to worry as the paper work says it has a 12J engine thought omg what have i bought even tho the garage said it was a 300tdi me not knowing the difference (never owning one) so a kept looking through all the paper work to finally find a bit of paper and pictures of the enging change it has a 200tdi 12L disco engine
She has 120k on the clock runs sweet as a nut only a very small 1 2 drips a day oil leak which is nothing cab is a bit rough has a radio with speakers but can hardly hear it
bare with me here as im new to all this but it has full dislocation springs steering guards diff guards big wheels and tires was told it has a 3inch lift by the looks of it a would say it has a 6 inch lift with serious body roll the temp gage doesnt work but i did drive it 4 hours down the motor way non stop and didnt once over heat so all is good there it does have the oil pressure light on when idleing but goes off when rev so bought a new switch as the current one looks old and on its last legs thats waiting to go on other then that i have no problems with it that might soon change and she will slowly start to change to how i want it
