Need to move a non running p38 by towing it can this be done if so what do I need to do
If its a manual i think its just a good tow rope and a gentle tug
If its an Auto I believe you need to put a fuse in number 11 fuse hole this over rides something and then put it in N to tow....
Might be best to double check that. I'm doing this from memory so might be not be quite right....

I honestly didnt know that. thought it would be like towing any other manual permanent 4x4 like a disco for example just put it in N and tow away
Just read your post...its the auto one. Remember the brakes will be very poor without servo.

Take it you have despite lots of warnings from myself and others been daft enough to remove mounting bracket. Look at bottom of this page. Engine Tools - Part2 Page 1
the bolt had fell out thus the sensor got ate on further examination it had been chemical metaled or the like at some point in the past so will have to helicoil the hole
