So basically guys, I brought a little while ago a 1996 Defender 90 as a project.
Im thinking about selling it as I have too many projects on the go and need the space. Its the first defender I have had so unsure what they are worth.
**By the way, this is not a for sale thread... I just wonder the sort of price they go for**
The spec of the truck is.
1996 Defender 90 commercial
115k miles
300tdi
16" x 8.5j Steels all round with BFG Mud tyres
interior is stock
its recently had new wheel bearings all round
engine has full service history since new
had a full respray in metallic green less then a year ago (bodywork and pain is mint)
Mechanically the truck is faultless, everything works how it should.
the only downside is the chassis needs a fair bit of welding. there are 6 patches which need welding, no bigger then 15cm long. (the worst) most parts are much smaller. Its all at the rear end by the cross member so I was going to just replace the rear cross member down to the suspension.
Just after a rough ball park figure, I understand its hard without photos.
I saw one go on Ebay recently with a chassis which was completely gone for £2700. But open to opinions... if the prices are too low ill just replace the cross member and get it MOT & Taxed.
I've attached the only pic I have at work.
