Hello not too long ago I tried changing airfilter to but i had wrong type…

Anyways i loosened a bolt i was not supposed to.. which was not part of the housing for the air filter.

Problem is, i lost it somewhere inside the under the car and didnt find it, was wondering how bad it would be to drive without it from 1-10 and size of it so i could order it.

Also wondering if the filter for the turbo looks correct on the picture, if it is at all the filter for the turbo, im not so knowledgeable with cars.

I believe the 2nd picture uses the same bolt as the one i lost cuz it was aligned the same height and close to it as well as size

The bolt is located right behind the housing for the airfilter and perhaps slightly more below if that makes sense. I found it was wrong because the housing uses allenscrews and i was tired

I also found a metal clip that fell as i lost the bolt

Thanks

The filter you are showing is for the turbo vent. One end is left ‘open’… that is correct.
The bolt you are missing is for a bracket on the intercooler pipe assembly.

I’d be more concerned about finding the one you dropped. On a scale of 1-10, it could be 1 and it could be 10, depending on where it landed.

If it is that bad i could just order a new bolt meybe… if you have any idea what size it may be? I tried and found it nowhere under the hood, also tried driving in driveway back and forth braking but didnt find it… at least i got the clip for it doe

Also for the turbo vent, i was suspicious of it.. it makes sense for it to be open if its a vent…

I mean could i drive on highway without it being there or…?

… I’d find the missing bolt. Not necessarily because the intercooler pipe needs it (though it does), but because the bolt you dropped could have fallen somewhere in the engine bay that will cause damage.

The clip is for holding the black pipe in place in your photo, so i would say not that really important, but you want to replace it then it's 6mm thread with an 8mm head.

The main pipe is the intercooler turbo pipe.

Which will have an hose on the end joining the turbo.

These are the main bolts holding the turbo pipe to the engine.

Thx for detailed response

That makes sense, thx
