So, while I really don’t want to sell the disco, cheating wife forces sale!

however I have no idea where to get ideas on price for it as it’s been modified and there’s nothing really like for like that I could see. Any ideas on places to get a guide from??
It’s a 2002 D2 TD5 (pre facelift), just under 100k. 2” lift. Air. Lots of upgrades and stage 1 remap.

thought/suggestions welcome as it’s helping fund the divorce!!

I can only express sympathy.:(:(:(
No idea on price really, although mine is very like yours except it is absolutely standard. Maybe you could try back numbers of LRM?
Judging by this month's, somewhere between 4k and 6K? Maybe a little more?
In your favour is the relatively low mileage.
You need to list all the upgrades for people to be able to make a more accurate guesstimate.

So sorry that, unlike my ex- who agreed not to force me to sell my pride and joy at the time, yours is being ....... uncooperative shall we say?
Best of luck with it all!:):):)

Then tell to eff off you are keeping it

Main issue everyone is going to ask, how sound is the chassis at the rear or has it had repairs?
I possibly paid too much for mine, low miles, but the chassis is excellent and had been blasted and painted.

+1 ^^^
This reminds me of a total bargain I missed back in the seventies.
A couple were getting divorced so the bloke said to his wife, "Sell the car and give me half the money" (Jag XJ6, not a shabby car at all).
So she did, ................ for £10 and the bloke got his £5.:eek::eek:
(This is illegal now. Thank God!);)

If its got a very tidy chassis, id say up to £5k depending on condition of the body, interior and for example, if its never towed and has 1 previous owner. If its rough on the body and interior, with a scabby chassis, £2.5k.
I think modifications often point to it being an off roader, which makes them a less attractive purchase in my book. Dont take too much notice of the £6k ones online with 32 offset modulars on 33s and a straight through exhaust. Thats just blind optimism.
Id say a lot of modification items are worth more off the vehicle, which is more of a pain but could yield more cash.

No repairs and chassis is sound. No welding or MOT issues

Do a deal on here...someone gives you 2k for it....wifey obviously gets her half....and you get the option to buy it back within 6 months for 2.5k. Win Win.
I like your thinking. However, she’s not getting a penny of it. I need to sell it so I can buy her out of the house - need all the cash I can get

Woho!
Just what I had to do, i.e. get the dosh to buy my ex out.
I had to take out a 100% mortgage. A real killer. :(:(
This was in the late 80s when a sort of crash meant the house prices were falling. But she wouldn't accept any valuations, so I had to give her over the odds to get the house.:mad::mad:
What I should have done was say "Ok, you don't believe its value, we'll stick it in an auction then!" and then bought it myself! Didn't think of it until later!:(:(:(
So really feel for you mate.
Best of luck with it all.:)
