What is the story on the landrover diesel engine 20L in the freelander.
i have just got one for handy money and i need a bit of advice on this engine.
126000 miles and is going like a swiss watch.
it is the yr 2000 model.

so youve just got a freelander with a 200tdi engine? is it the original engine?

thanks lads, i know its only a bit of fun, this is my second freelander which was 18 petrol
model. it did not put me of, so thats why i now have a diesel one.

i think it is has far has i know, do they have a bad name for blowing up

hmm it would probably be the best f/l ever, just wondered why it was in the 200tdi section

I doubt very much it will be a 200tdi engine they where fitted in discos and defenders between 1989 - 1993 dont think they where ever fitted in the freelander but

have a look in the gaylander section mate, they're a bit more civilised than us tratter boysnot sure with gaylanders but possibly L series or td4 engine ,the gaylanderers will know.
