Hi all. I think the keys to my Disco 2 TD5 have become unsynced and I don't have the EKA code. I can unlock the car using the doorlock only, no reaction from the remote and the engine is immobilized.
Is there anyone near me that has a Nanocom that would be willing to get my code from my car please?

I suspect your remote sensor in the roof is gone. Replace that first with a known good used one then go from there.

If your car is imobilized, and you do not have the EKA, then Nanocom will not be able to acess the BCU etc.
Have you tried another key and is the key battery ok?

Hi, thanks for the reply. :) I had considered the remote sensor but I found the timing a bit coincidental. It had worked the day before and it seemed to stop working after I had unplugged the air compressor for the rear suspension, so I figured I ballsed up and made the car angry. XD

Ah I wasn't aware of that.
I currently only have one key (I do have a spare but....I have put it somewhere TOO safe it would seem...) and I changed the battery in it to make sure it wasn't that.

That's fair. XD Well I should hopefully have my EKA from Land Rover within the next day or so. If that doesn't work then I'll try swapping in a known good receiver.

Hopefully the previous owner didn’t change the EKA code or the code Land Rover is sending you won’t work. You will definitely need a Nanocom or a Foxwell diagnostic tool to retrieve the EKA code.

Update: Got my EKA code this morning, car accepted the code....still didn't work, no remote function, alarm still triggered by the key in the ignition, and engine immobilized. So I was just getting ready to start taking the headliner out to get to the receiver (I don't have a sunroof so can't do the easy access method) and I had to push the car out of the way for something. Put the key into the ignition to unlock the steering and noticed the alarm wasn't firing so I fully turned the key and the engine fired up.

So yeah....baffled. Engine starts fine now, however the remote still doesn't work so I'm still going to have to remove the headliner to check the receiver and at the same time check the Alpine window seals as I'm sure they're leaking.
Thanks for the replies.

Further Update:

Just decided to disconnect my battery, leave it off for a while, and reconnect it before taking the whole headliner down.....yeah that fixed it my remote works now. I feel stupid. XD Still have to take it down at some point to check my Alpine windows but still, a bit of a relief.
