Morning.
I just came.accross a post on fb where someone suggested to use nanocom for bleeding brakes on pre 2000 p38.
I tried to find out how but there is no function, well I didnt find.one, for it.

Tried to look nanocOm instructions but can't get any info for this.
Only for the disco 2.

Anyone know how to use the nanocom to bleed the brakes?

It's not necessary to be done with a Nanocom but it is easier. I did it this weekend on my Disco 2 and my Nanocom.
I'm sure there is a way on the P38 to remove a relay and jump the contacts to actuate the ABS module.

I tather do it with nanocom. Less messing.

There us a function for it but this thing says can't communicate with the ecu.

I start wondering what to pay nearly 500 quit for that nanocom if you cant access things like that.

Engine type is irrelevant. Try both Wabco-C and Wabco-D in Nanocom. Only one will communicate, so you can tell which is fitted.

Then get a friend to help, and follow the manual bleed procedure in RAVE instead.

I’d stick to usual method, using diagnosis to bleed brakes is probably more work if you read how it’s done. Technique is iffy

Only time you should have issue is if you get air in the brake modulator- don’t let level go down

Exactly. If you read the posts in nanocom forums, they say to do the manual process first. RR-DT is right, if you don't let the level drop & air into the modulator, then Nano bleed is not required.

Also you cannot do the full bleed with Nanocom anyway. If you could, then RAVE would say to use Testbook.

Just do it right and then do it right again.
Follow the procedure in Rave to the letter
It does work but took me two times

Can only be done on WABCO D system. Cannot be done with WABCO C. Your car would need to be 1999 model or better. Can't see what the problem is, bleeding the brakes is a very easy task. Just follow RAVE.

+1^^^ I did mine with the help of The Enemy, no problems.

I used the pressure bleeder I have in the garage, following the rave sequence and all good.
Just follow the order of nipples to tweak.. Errr sorry twiddle, no err manipulate
