Well everyone, I have got my first land rover at long last. Its a 98R 300 tdi 110 hard top. Ex Environment Agency. Thanks to tigapiglet for all his help beforehand.

Anyway. There is a switch to the right of the steering wheel low down. It is in the middle of three, between the heated rear screen and hazard warning lights switch. I have no idea what it does. The symbol on it is almost like a clock or could be a wheel. It doesnt seem to do anything but very curious. Any suggestions you knowledgable people?

Thanks

My third switch controls the interior light, but thats on a 92 Jplate D90. Is it a 2 or 3 way switch? Someone else will know for sure...

hi again my only idea if its as you descibed is cruise control i know very stupid could be overdrive or pto switch if it had a winch fitted????????????????????

the icon on the button is a clock/wheel? is it a circle with a line through it? sounds like the air suspension lock on a p38 rangey, but obv not relevant on a 110.

Hi

If the Landy is ex Environment agency the switch could be a flashing light switch for the orange lights or search light.

On my year 2000 110 the switches left to right are:-
1. Heated rear window
2. Rear fog light
3. Hazard warning lights

Does it have any screw holes near the dash?

Could be an external tachometer supply switch. I have seen them before on BT landrovers.

Hi,

on my 1989 110 the middle switch turns the instrument lights on if you click one way, and the interior light on if you click the other. if you have it set between the two it does nothing.

Dont know if this helps as you have a newer version than mine.

Scott.
