there is no major rust it is a ford F 250 Styleside australia delivered which means it only a 2 wheel drive with an Australian 250 ci (4.2 L) 6 cyl the difference between a f 100 it has heavy duty suspension larger brakes and a Dana rear axle . I have had all the panels and doors off and resprayed, renewed the radius arm rubbers fitted new front shocks recovered dash board had seat cover repaired, new baily channel rubbers in doors and new widow belts and quarter light rubbers . now i need to straighten front bumper as i hit a kangeroo a few years ago . the front grill has been renewed and the plastic inserts new, radiator mounts The light switch was quite hary as it had a built in relay and when it got overloaded with spotlights i had fitted the lights wold just cut out so i wired in a double relay so only the small amperage ran through the switch and didnt have any more problems with it.
It runs on LPG so i had to rplace the original engine which was a 250 ci with cast head as the valves would regulary wear the valve seat away, for a later alloy head 250 ci with stellite seats. i have it registered with classic registration through the local vintage and veterain car club Another member of this club is my neighbour who has a large shed/workshop behind his house in which he keep 7 cars the youngest being 1923. among them are 3 steam cars one of which he took to the London to Brighton rally a few years ago.
