hello all thought i would introduce myself by listing the faults that have appeared on my 02 plate vogue td6.
firstly it has come up with a air susp inactive warning, the suspension worked/ adjusted fine until yesterday when the warning appeared, tryed the lock to lock trick with the steering wheel but no joy.

secondly the front demisting fans dont blow air. the lights work on the speed control, but no air is blown out.

any ideas people?

Fan issue is more than likely the Final Stage Resistor failure....very common and a search on here will post several details about the task...simple but a bitch to get at apparently...part is cheap(ish) enough....

As for the suspension issue.....could be a multitude of things.....are there anyother warnings or just the Air Susp. Inactive warning??

Are all the lights off on the Height switch, or do you have the centre hold light on along with the Standard height light on?? as this will indicate a Soft Fault or a Hard Fault....

Whereabouts are you as there may be some one local who has the diagnostic gear to plug in for you and read the stored codes.....

Thanks I will search for the fan resistor fault. In the forums.
The suspension issue it says AIR SUSP. INACTIVE
The light is lit on the centre of the suspension control knob and the light to the left is on centre.

That indicates it has gone into a Soft Fault....

Most common reason for this is a height senor reading being a bit strange or a weak compressor out put....

If you put your location in your profile....doesn't have to be specific just a general area would suffice as there maybe some one close by to you who has the Diagnostic Computer to plug in and read any stored fault codes on the EAS system for you....

As an example my Location indicates I am in Surrey, close to the middle near some green bits (Close to Guildford)....

There are a number of members here who are willing to drink all your tea and eat all your favourite biscuits in return for plugging in and helping diagnose any faults...

The hold lamps and the standard lamp on means the system has found a fault (but isn't serious enough to produce a hard fault) and that it will bring the car level as best it can and hold it there until you sort the issue......without diagnosis codes being read we could be here all day guessing what it could be!

btw....the steering lock to lock will be needed if you disconnect the battery...and usual accompanies the Air Susp. fault, HDC and ABS faults too as these system all rely on the Steering Angle Sensor being calibrated!!

I am in netheravon near Amesbury.
Bit far for me to go unfortunatly....but I am sure there is someone close by who could help!!

PS: is that the place with the weird stone circles??? or am I mistaking that with another place?

Anyone local to me who can help diagnose these issues? I am in netheravon which is near Amesbury.

Update:
Am now stranded at the side of the a303 with a fuel inject. System faul showing and the engine has cut out!! The fuel is low but still 70 miles range. So I think some bottom of tank sludge has found it's way in to the system. And blocked pipes. Either way AA enroute.

Welcome to Range Rover ownership.... :(

Not sure on your sludge theory but you never know....

Good Luck with it, let us know how you get on!!

If it's been stood for a while for sale, could be bacterial growth in the tank.

Being an L322, I doubt it's that simple, especially if it came up "Injector Fault"

Spoke to my garage today. They are snowed under with mot's but will try and look at it today if not Monday and see what codes the computers kick up. Any one post a link to where abouts I can buy one if these diagnostically computer thing-a me-do-Dars

Thanks. Should find out tomorrow the damage to the RR and to my wallet!! Hope it's not to bad on both.

It turned out the fuel pump (first stage) was on its way out. That was sorted £350 later. Am back on road again now.
