os coil spring corroded
ns coil spring corroded

oil leak
very happy indeed

main problem i had before mot was the common arch rust both sides
so off to halfords i went got me self some of Davids fibre glass kit less than a £10. under seal olywax, rust eater treatment and a few hours cleaning crap from arch

starting attacking rust clean off all **** bits that fall apart then treat
with rust eater leave to dry. then mix resin and hardener be quick in this process and wear some gloves if ya cant be arsed with sticky fingers, paste the inside of arch making sure fibre glass pieces are cut in easy strips.do one layer until is stuck on its own.leave to dry then put another layer on top of that one to build strength and cover holes then whip wheel off do other side if needed under seal bottom then from the top start adding body filler let it go off over night next day either sand down spray it paint it primer it lick it wash it ha ha or what ever you want as long as it passes mot who cares

why weld when fibre glass will get it through mot:cool:

because it's a false economy, sooner or later there will be more fibreglass than metal :D

sometimes that stuff also doesn't set even, sometimes there are some softer bits in it, even though it has been mixed thoroughly

so if you needed mot you wouldn't use fibre glass method
i got mig welder in shed.but it the easy option to get mot out the way

and for what its worth the arch aint main chassis so no strengh lost is there.

i stick to fibre glass for arches

next thing to do it battry tray haha:D

good job your MOT tester is an idiot then, that repair shouldn't have passed as it falls within the prescribed area around a seatbelt fixing...
