Hi just got myself a p38 1997 with 160,000 miles and love it .
When i got it the guy never said anything about the service record
but found it in the Landy makes good reading

All done by Land Rover
in the first year it had 9 services in 1997 1000 - 54,000 miles
3 services in 1998 54,000 - 72,000 miles
1 service in 2000 72,000 - 84,000 miles
1 service in 2001 84,000 - 90,000 miles
1 service in 2003 at 110,000 miles
1 service in 2008 at 140,000 miles so in the last 7 years it only done 20,000 miles

so i take its been well looked after ?

Now that's an Intro. Sounds good.

I've just picked up a 4.6l V8 LPG P38 with 142000miles
Needs a bit of work but then its my project.

More than I ever found out about mine. Looks good but time will tell. I'd still replace all fluids - and grease, just in case.

Looks tidy, congrats....now stick around, we are a bunch of pi$$ taking barstewards, but the help they can give is second to none....

Looks nice and tidy, welcome to the joys of range rover owner ship and the madhouse i mean forum:)
same wheels as were on mine when i got it.

:welcome2: to the mad house. I bet the gearbox oil and filter has never been changed if it's an auto, also the transfer box oil. Change them ASAP

54,000 miles in first year is some mileage. Over a 1000 miles a week. 148 a day. :D

Welcome to the mad house but the help you can get on here is fantastic these guys have helped on few issues that come with owning a great beast.

Thanks for the great welcome ,
I have always wanted one and love the shape of the classic and p38 ,
So this is the start of my love hate relationship with her :D

I bet it had some warranty work in that time! It doesn't take much to get to that though I do 50k a year between my 3 although more than 40k is in the van going between customers/meetings etc.

Looks a tidy thing although I'm not a fan of wheels!

i bet it did , it was a company vehicle in Stirling
The company then opened depots in Huddersfield and Teesside in the mid 90s
that will explain the miles and the service history
