This is my first Disco, it's standard but hoping to make some mods to it over the next few months :cool: what would be a good starting point for a newbie??!!

full service,
engine oil and filter. oil flush maybe? (some folk do some dont)
10-40 semi
cooling system flush and new antifreeze. I use red antifreeze 50/50 with water
air filter.
fuel filter and drain sedimeter.
diff oils. ep90
gearbox oil. ATF
transfer box. ep90
grease all props.
timing belt and tentioner if due or last change not known.
what like are the brakes ? maybe change brake fluid ?
check glowplugs
check tyre pressures

Get all these done first for mechanical piece of mind before splashing any cash on modifications.

You could spend a few hundred quid on a lift kit for example then find 20 miles later your engine packs in for lack of a good service and you'll have need for the money spent on the lift kit.
 
a good service is all that is needed but cant see why you would need to spend money on all the bolt on crap if landies dont need it if it did it would be factoy fitted :behindsofa:
 
Are you gonna off road it ?, if not you dont need any mods, maybe a good set of AT tyres is all you will need
