Park in in a dark air conditioned garage and drive your Pinto instead.

Stop posting, and nobody will be tempted to melt green plastic all
over it!!!!

Seriously, look in your local online or print directories for
detailing services. Pay them for advice. Ask the body man at
your dealer for advice.

Or get the free advice here, worth a bit less than you paid for it.

You'll want a very good sealant base. Followed by a good wax.
Followed by a good top seal. And every few years, clay.
Some folks like natural cotton buffing, some like chamois, some
like microfiber. All work but cleanliness of your waxing and
buffing cloths is absolutely mandatory to avoid microscratching
the paint. Do not overclean with even mildly abrasive cleaners
as the manufacturer's tend to put on the absolute thinnest clear
coat that will work... and you can go right thru it if not careful.
