Having a senior moment
May be spending some time in Nottingham or thereabouts in the not too distant future... what's the laning like up there? I know Derbyshire is close but I was wondering about east of Nottingham.

Quite a bit Retford way, get an o.s map or use one online and do some Reading up, easy really.

Yes, I am quite au fait with the OS route... however it fails to let me know how many are TRO'd all year round. Was just a general enquiry really -

Around worksop area (worksop, retford, ollerton etc) as far as I know none have been closed for the last year.

I spoke to the nott's glass rep last year about a few lanes out that way and to quote him "As a general rule, as long as they're sign posted you're alright - nott's are quite good with that"

Sorry mate, for some reason I got it into my head you'd said you were a newb - didn't mean to be patronising.

LOL no worries fella... easily done... Thanks for the info... with a little luck there should be enough to keep me occupied for a while!

If you've not heard of it there's a place they call the desert in mansfield, iirc there's a lane runs through it but you're in the poo if you stray; last I heard they were putting cameras in trees! Just a word to the wise....

I don't tend to play off to the side of the lanes... kind of frowned upon as you know, besides if I lost my landy my kids would shoot me!

Lol, didn't think you did ryder - I've not been there but I'd guess if it's like a desert it could be tricky working out which is the official track to follow. Most of the places I've mentioned sofar would be a bit far north for you really anyway.

I've just seen nott's council's website for what it's worth their rights of way section might answer your original question ;)
