right insa turbos, on a disco, reckon they will wear down very fast on road surface ? is there any way to prevent this eg no motorways etc ?
how many miles are they good for ?

and secondly if they wear down fast has anyone got a ****ty set i can have for the road ? .........

cheers chaps

LOL have to laugh at you lot :D

The road is the place you will get killed

But you want the ****ty ones for the road and the good ones for playing :D:D

The clue is in the title, 'Mud Tyres' ... for use on soft, muddy ground!

If they was 'Road Tyres' they would be good for ... road use!

Bog hoppers are not designed for prolonged use on the road, coz they wears down quicker than they would on soft muddy ground! ;) ;)

Simple innit?? :D :D

FFS, where do some people come from??:eek:

Iv run insas for years on and off road and I can't falt them 3 years on my 90 and still have 17mm in centre andc30mm on outer lugs

Good tyres they need to make some 35"s

Agreed, my insas are 1 1/2 years old and still have plenty left, wearing a lot slower than I thought they would...

Also a lot of mud tyres are a harder compound than road tyres as its the tread giving the grip and not rubber itself, they are designed to take the harshness of rocks, branches e.t.c. and so are usually a stronger compound, this is why they are poop on the road especially in cold conditions....

I have a mix of tyres on mine. I have Insa Traction Tracks on the front, and Falken AT's on the back. They seem to be wearing at a similar rate, but as I live in Dorset, and we don't have any of those new fangled motorway things down here, they are rarely subjected to prolonged high speed driving, and spend quite a lot of time driving between home and where I am working, which is usually either a beach, forest, riverbank or clifftop.

there is quite a wide range in mud tyres so the wear rates vary as well , it is a piece of string thing
