Whats the diff between "Civilian" and "Military?" mudflaps?

is the Military one longer? Camouflaged? Bomb proof? has in-build chaff dispensors?

during blah years of working on mil LR's i never seen one with mudflaps, so they must be stealth mudflaps. or perhaps they have a klingon cloaking device

Slob's right, i haven't seen a set on any of the works rovers apart from some RAF models, but most of these where civy versions anyway.

They were listed in the parts manual but are never needed or used so dowt the MOD would have supplied them.

The CO at an R.A. posting had a set on his 109, but they came from a parked RAF vehicle!!!!

Got a feeling that the ones described as "Military" are shorter than the normal ones. Maybe thicker too.

thur was something different abart them but i can't remember what, maybe a anorak will be along shortly to tell us. i know the mil gearbox x-members wur bolted on ones which made gearbox changes a bit easier

i just been sent this as the reason....

"These mud flaps are civilian as they won't fit Military models because the military have a different chassis. "

hmmm

military chassis's have a different rear cross member. mil has a flat bottomed member unlike the civy that has the ends angled up to the top? look at paddocks or craddocks to see the difference if your interested.
