Hi all,
I've just bought a set of kumho 265 70 16 mt51 tyres. I use my disco for daily commuting around the town, mostly on asphalt(where some of bumpy areas can be found). Advise, what would be the proper tyre pressure?

What does the owners manual say?
Not always correct. If you changed tyre size and rating of tyre. If car came with a load rage b tyre and was replaced with a tyre rated a c or d load range there would be a psi difference. The only correct way is what is printed on the side wall of the tyre from the manufacture

35psi is a super nice tyre pressure for those as it still gives good deformation and they are by nature a very flexible tyre so the increased pressure will help achieve good MPGs ;)

then there should be info on tyre for the correct psi. just look and it will tell you

Pressure stated on the tyre is usually maximum pressure, and is more for fitting purposes. Trust me, don't ever run at that pressure!! For a starter, the tyre isn't designed to run at that pressure.
If you don't have a user manual, pressures are usually on a sticker/plate on the drivers door pillar.

As a guide, based on my D2, standard fit is 235/70R16 with recommended pressures at 28psi front and 38psi rear. I run 245/70R16 and for general day to day running, run with 31psi front and 40psi rear.
