I have a 2005 TD4 Sport auto, for the first time i thought i would experiment to see what mileage i was getting from her, so filled her up(£60), my commute to work is a 3 mile stretch of A road followed by 15 miles on motorway and then another 3 miles on an A road, all done at a leisurely pace.

I got 450 miles from the tank, which averaged out at 32 Mpg, i thought that was a bit poor considering the consumption ranges on the Landy web site.

Do you think that is about right, or is it a bit on the low side.

cheers:D

I think thats pretty good really. If I take it easy, I get about 400 to a tank full. It is quite a bit better if most of it is motorway but short trips round town is very expensive.

I have a 2003 manual TD4 which comfortably does 500 miles per tank or and average of 38-40mpg.

Got a 2001 td4, and do alot of short trips to mine and our lasses works (each under 12 mile round trip), and a full tank (52quid) always takes me past 400 mile mark, best so far is 425.

Whats the general opinion of those fuel saver devices that change the firing times etc?? They say on ebay that you can get about 8 more mpg with one fitted.
