Hi all,

curretntly living in France, but looking to move to North Wales. If anyone can offer to post some local ad papers offering houses for rent, or know of any houses for rent with garage, then we'd be thankfull and rewarding,

Adam

Thanks,

I dont like to use agencies as you end up paying lots of fees and hiked up prices. I prefer to deal with the organ grinder. Thanks for the help anyway, it gives me an idea on prices,

Well, we want to be where work is ; I am a builder and of course lots of green lane access for the weekends. We arent too fussy, somewhere nice!

M

well there are plenty of nice places but you need to be where there is work.your main problem will be finding work. the further out you go the less work there is. you need to look towards the bigger towns as there is more work there. are you planning on working for a company or self employment

I run a little building company, so will continue to work for myself. We were thinking of living near the border to Chester.

ythats probably the best bet. i am 25 miles from the border and its a good commute you will find it slow to get work at first as you will be new to the area as you are probably well aware, but there are some nice areas. if you are going that way let me know and i will advise you of good/bad areas ;)

Ta very much, ill stay clear of the Wirral. Bungalows are fine, a drive will suffice. If the owners are interested in letting, let me know and we can swap details and I can fly over.

i will find out the details of the bungalow for you. i know they let it out but they have just had some dole scum do a runner. i will let you know when i find out ;)

No, not a dole scummer. If its right, they can have a nice deposit for peace of mind and the usual rent in advance. I can also show my business registration/proof of work. Much appreciated,

M

just spoke to the fella that owns the bungalow and he says yes he is interested but the dole scum left it in a right state so he will be looking at 3/4 weeks to get it sorted. let me know if you are still interested and i will keep you informed ;)

hes a top guy he will sort you out are you from the uk or are you a frog comeing over here to live

No not a frog, just had two years trying to be one. I am a Brit. France is a truly outstanding country, problem is that the system here is a bag o ****e. For a Landy owner, it is unreal, more lanes and tracks you can throw a stick at. I'll miss the land here...tissues...boo hoo.

Running a business here is a non starter, 46% Tax and social charges with enough paper work to warrant a call centre full of paper pushers on your payroll to deal with it.

Buy a house here and come for your hols, but dont live and work here!
