Hi all, just bought Sealey engine stand, to do some work on my 2.25 petrol engine. Removed clutch and alloy casting so that I can mount engine on stand. I have found some HT steel bolts that fit into block and are long enough to reach through the stand mounting tubes.
To me the four bolts don`t look man enough to hold the weight of engine hanging off, or am I worrying to much?

Thanks, only worked on smaller engines in past, Ford Anglia`s etc long time ago, thought engine stand would be safer with such a large lump.
Just needed some reassurance.

i got a 2 1/4 petrol engine in the workshop on an engine stand supported by four bolts.... been there for two months without a problem
