Recently got myself a nato hitch, and am hoping to fit it to my Series 3 for recovery. My question is, is there a certain way of mounting it, or is it just a case of bolting it on?

You'll want to put a spreader plate at the back of whatever you're mounting it to. Mine had a 10mm plate behind the rear crossmember of my Defender.
