Hi all,
Finally got round to taking the series 2A for its MOT today.
Took the option of doing the welding needed, and see what happens from there.
Arrived at the mot station at 10.30am this morning for my 10.45am booking, to be greeted by the manager who told me to "be prepared for a failure as 90% of these old things do"!
1 hour later - PASSED, with two advisories.
No. 1 - Off side rear leaf spring sagging.
No. 2 - Brake effieciency low but acceptable to pass.
Drove away smiling with the new MOT, stopped off at post office in the village to get tax disc, the helpful person behind the counter informed me i would lose a months money if i taxed it today!
Had great joy reminding the fact that the 2A is tax excempt.
All legal and raring to go, still some bits to do but now mot'd i will start wax oiling and tidying up inside.
