So my (Our) chassis auto-lube system(s) are now going to cause many a pickle under the new MOT rules...

I've got leaks from the engine, leaks from the front, leaks at the back, have any of you guys had some unforgiving MOT's and what has been required to get through? i'm really not looking forward to this one lol.

Fix the leaks :p

I have one from the rear crank seal (after replacing it 6 months earlier) parked out side the mot station
& cleaned underneath with a rag & not a word was said passed with no advisory's or minor faults :D

Ah shouldn't be a problem then, so what's the deal do you just apply & if it ticks all the boxes you get it free :)
I believe so. Haven't done it yet, a family friend with a 1962 2a hasn't filled in any forms but thinks it's automatic.

My buddy with a mk1 Fiesta has to wait until next year due to which month in 1978 it was registered, however he's got the forms ready.

Should be pretty straight forward.

It needs to be actively leaking to be classed as fail rather than the passive leaking most land rovers do (if that make sense). I think (although stand to be corrected) to be classed as a fail it needs to create a pool of oil 75mm in diameter in 5 minutes. That is a fairly serious leak!
