Took the Rangie for its MoT yesterday. Was running a bit late as the tax was due to run out at the end of May and I need the car for work.

Took it to a different place as I couldn't get a slot at my usual garage and this is the result:

I was issued with a FAIL Notice, an Advisory Notice and a PASS certificate. The car never left the ramp, and nothing was replaced, so how come all 3 then ??????:):)

what was on the fail? did they fix it while it was there on the ramp?

either way congrats on the new ticket.. breathe again for another 11 months :D

Gotta be summat to do with emissions or LPG?
Or instead of breaking the Rangie, you broke the MOT bay?
Was the MOT tester dyslexic?
C'mon DV - tell us.......

Nice one DV

headlight aim was out so adjusted that and it then passed?

The advisory was for bottom ball joint on drivers side, just got a bit of play.

weren't emmisions or headlamp aim for the fail though.

FAIL: Chip in swept area of windscreen?

ADVISORY: Fitted smaller wiper so chip not in swept area

So therefore it PASSED!!

None of the above,

I was sat in the viewing area and the guy tells me taht a clip at one end of the CV boot was missing and would I like them to put a zip tie round it. I had a quick look and said yes.

Got issued witha fail notice for Split CV Boot...............................

which was fixed in 30 seconds on the ramp at no charge. Seems like a complete waste of effort to issue a FAIL notice to me, but hey I got the green sheet too so I is happy now........................

apart from having to buy me road tax now.:(

A quite reasonable £190 for the year. said £185 on the form but parrantly it went up so had to find an extra fiver whilst stood in post office

Not bad for a 4.6 V8.

Vee 8s aren't so bad are they? ;):p:D
Gotta be honest I just keep putting fuel in the tank and have become oblivious to the cost or the emissions - a doozil just don't sound the same when you boot it
