So, was hoping to get George in for a test before it's actually due (28th), but the EAS pump shat it's metal pants. I fixed that, then found the diaphragm on the exhaust valve is gubbed, exhausting all the air pressure to atmosphere. Kit on way. So today, I removed the valve block and plan to strip it when the kit arrives (hope tomorrow).
In the meantime, my knackered ripped muscle has been causing no end of grief, pain and inability to do the simplest jobs. However, today, I had an appointment with a different doc who gave me Co-codamol 15mg/500mg which I took as soon as I left the chemist.
By the time I got home I was still in pain, but felt I could tackle the other problem I discovered... My headlamp adjustment was seized solid! Headlamp off and went mad with WD40, copper grease, mouse tail files, wire brush, vice grips and so on.
Popped out this bit...
Undid the plastic crappy bit...
Popped out the multi-plug...
Removed the lens body component from the black skellington... It's 3 pop off ball/sockets.
The above photo is the mended version, but it's to give an idea of what was wrong...we'll come to that.
The adjustable ball threaded screw had seized solid so I knocked the whole thing out from back to front after using the vice grips to spin the body to release it from the black skeleton bracket thingy.
Then I reinserted it as above using Tiger seal. But the next picture shows what you need to un-seize using a bit of heat, a bit of light tapping with a hammer and lots of grease & WD40...
I removed it completely, used the mouse tail file to clean up the threads, then slapped the grease followed by WD40 so she was more slippery than an MP

Anyway, all back together and adjustment can be made with ease.
