The disco is in for MOT next week, other than rot and the usual bits and bobs (wipers, bulbs etc), what else is a common Disco failure? Its a V8i 1998, body and chassis seem good, even the boot floor is clean! It's going to a local place that normally deals with normal cars, they don't generally deal with Disco's etc so that should help!

Thanks guys

Gareth

Drop links anti roll bar bushes in fact just about anything to do with the suspension but they come cheap so no big deal

There's nothing in an MOT for a Discovery that dosen't apply to a normal car, so i'm sure u know what's checked in the MOT such as wheel bearings, steering, brakes, exhaust system and emissions etc etc.

So just go for the MOT, or if u have a doubt on something then fix it first as the MOT guys know their job.

The only thing I have seen non Discovery savvy MOT testers query is the ABS light not going out after the engine has started, the truck had be driven out of the workshop for him to see it go out!

I am sure it is in the MOT manual but he was just being lazy, didn't go back there again.

regards

Dave
