Does anybody know if the air box on the disco is the same one as on the TD5 defender? They look the same in the picture.

Also any body had experience or knowledge of the bore size \ airflow? I am building a 4.2 super charged V8 and am now looking at the air filter box for this. Nas 90 4.0 V8's use the range rover tube type air box and filter.

But i'm temped to put in a disco or TD5 square type box and use the plastic pipes as well, as long as the air flow will be the same or better? That way the air intake is from outside cool air, not hot air, from just above the exhaust manifold.

Any thoughts and does anybody have a set of this they want to sell?

With a V8 in a fender most people use the cylinder type air box and bolt it to the bulkhead.

So it comes back on its self and sits parrell to bulkhead.

Get a bonnet scoop and job done ;-)
 
As long as its off a V8 its not going to matter much as you are running a s/charger so thats going to ensure your getting enough airflow :)
