thanks paul

Hi,

Sorry to say this, but can you please write that with some full stops / commas? its a little confusing.

Who did you get the key from?
"green reader" was this supplied with the key, to program it.
Is your immobiliser now on?
Are you saying you have used the EKA code on this same vehicle?

Cheers

got one of these http://www.remotekey.co.uk/land-rover/land-rover-discovery-ii-discovery-series-2-year-1999-to-2006/
then it was plugged in but the blue light just started flashing
spoke to them and they said its worked but need to check ALARM REMOTE RECEIVER
so i did and i have not got one.
so i got one from other dealer plugged it in but still fob didn't work
so i went on to next job under bonnet and i knocked battery lead off
so alarm reset went to use eka code as used many other times
but only got single bleep so wouldn't work
i do have problems with reading and writing so i dont know where full stops go
thanks for any help paul

Hi Paul,

No offence was intended, Sorry if it was given, It is easier to understand as you have now written it.

OK, I know @RyanDay1 also used this service and his did stop working, he then proceeded to be given a resync method by them which I believe worked.
You say you have used the EKA code on this car many times, So I assume you are turning it all the correct ways as per the manual for the D2. I ask only because some people have tried to use the D1 EKA instructions by mistake.

I assume you have tried since replacing the rf receiver to reprogram the car using the green box?

One thing I could suggest is to disconnect the battery for 5 minutes to see if that helps. I had one throw a wobbler , eka did not work. Battery off for 5 minutes and hey presto it decided to work.

I would also suggest to see if you can find someone local with a nanocom as they can verify if the car is receiving the transmission from teh fob or not, and then if it is a recognised and coded key fob.

Cheers
