some help needed my 2001 dhse is changing gear perfect right up the box with a very light foot but if you put your foot down it seems to bang into second but all other gears are fine gearbox filter just done and 5 litres of fluid put into the sump any ideas please

Was it fine before you did the service? have you got something in the wrong place or missed something out or too much fluid in. ?

As above. Plus did you go through through the correct fill proceedure? Box cold, engine idling, move through all the gears slowly, back to neutral top up as required.

it was a bit dodgy before and yes filled with fluid till it come from the overflow the started the engine went through the gears then into park engine running then put fluid in till it came out of filler hole it seems better when cold

You could try Lucas Transmission Fix, it pretty much sorted the flaring on 2nd/3rd and 3rd/4th shifts on mine but has failed for others.
