I am trying to find out what the original purchase price would of been for a MK 1 Landrover around the 1950s ! or when the MK1 first came on the market .
About £500. The original Station Wagon was not a big seller, as it was rated as a car and so had Luxury Tax on it, bringing the price up to around £900. At least, that's what I remember from James Taylor's book on the history of the Land-Rover.
