Noticed i seem to have an end plate missing on the head, assume the spinning part is the end of one of the camshafts. HG replaced recently but i can't remember if it was on before then. anyone know where i can get one from? cheers.

Yes there should be a cover over the cam. Unfortunately it's not cheap.

Yes, you could make one. It's only there to cover where the distributor used be on the early models, just to make the engine look finished.
