The Exhaust bracket on my back box is a different size to the mid section bracket (so they don't line up and are currently held together with 2 bent M8 bolts... needless to say they won't tighten up enough and the whole thing rattles like bag of spanners in a washing machine...

I'm guessing these brackets are supposed to be the same size? Any idea how I can fix this? short of replacing the rear section of exhaust?

Worth a go, if your pipe diameter is close to that. I can only think you must have mismatched exhaust parts?

Looks that way, yet another bodge uncovered .. Rear sectionis 56mm pipe, mid section is 59mm pipe... 58mm clamp it is...

So the clamp I ordered was too small... but it looks like a viable fix if I get a bigger one and smear the whole think in Fire Gum :D, just have to wait a few more days for the bigger clamp to show up i suppose unless anyone knows anywhere in South Wale that sells the clamps?

On further inspection the mid section olive is pretty much rotted off so rather than carry on with a lot of faffing about for the sake of a bodge I'm just going to replace the the mid and rear section, will only have to do it later anyway...
