Hi all,

I have posted a few times regarding my misfire gremlin and think i have found the culprit.

Here is what i have checked so far.

Maf sensor on tick over signal wire is at 1.58 volts increasing to well over 2.4 volts on increasing revs. (suggesting it's working)

Engine coolant sensor observed from 1.26 volts (engine partially warm) falling to 0.78 volts as engine got warmer.

All plugs (week old NGK's) a nice greyish tan colour suggesting correct fuel/air mixture.

New coil pack fitted.

New H/T Leads Supposedly "performance 8mm" off the bay of E.

However on refitting the leads i was not getting the positive "click" you usually get so thought i'd have a closer look, The metal connector was halfway round the bend in the rubber boot and no way could it be making decent contact with the plug. Out came the stanley knife for further investigation and definately a manufacturing fault.

so out for a decent set of leads tomorrow and hopefully problem will be sorted.
