Hi all! I'm thinking of going rag top on my ex mod 90 and wondered if anyone knows the part number of the roll bar that is fitted to existing soft tops?
Have spent the afternoon looking but not having much joy.
Better still, does anyone have one for sale or know of a good source??

Hi,

They are a pricey l'ill number when they do come up. you might get the odd one on the bay, I have seen them iirc at withams for sale.

I guess they are getting scarce now
I see safety devices do something similar but was hoping to do this conversion on a budget of £500 or so.

TBH,

To do a full conversion from a hardtop to a soft top with good parts and a roll bar.

You will need to find a good set of second hand parts either for sale as one piece or in parts, and be very, very lucky.

@callisr ,

Did you find one yet?

I looked at the Safety devices roll bar, unfortunately I think it will not fit mine becasue I do not have the rear bulkhead behind the seats. Which is where the support brackets are attached to.

I am going to go and visit a roll cage supplier to discuss getting a unit made to fit mine.

I have looked on the safety devices site and it seems that is the way I would have to go.
However, I decided to take the family camping for the week so blew most of the money on that instead of going rag top!! It's amazing how much camping costs these days
