irish-landy

yesterday after long looking for a project to keep me busy i was offered this little stunner

she's an ex-irish army 2A,originally a fill tilt canvas pick-up

she's a 2.25 petrol running sweet as a nut and on the button every time

my plans for her are a full irish army spec restoration and to get her army history

the bulkhead is all good, the tub is very straight and not cracked and the chassis is mint(whatever the army use is amazingly good)

i will have more pics up as soon as possible as i have already begun the strip down for paint
   :)

all this was started on the 23 of may 2010 an is still on going, sorry about all the " i done this today " as i took this from the irish land rover club site CLRI.net

thanks for the comments , yeah i get stuck in,dont like looking at unfinished things :D

have a strong thing for landys now,dad thinks it was because he lugged my mam when she was pregnant with me around in a 110,20 years later i get a disco and a few months later a 2A and now i want a RRC,something wrong with me haha

29em8eu.jpg

got the new lights from paddocks on thursday and the paint to redo the door's and after taking time out from work someone went and lost the keys to the garage i have tools and equipment in so i cant even change the light's,going mad at the moment:mad:

bit of painting done, front wheels and passenger door turned out good but something on the driver's door reacted so ill be sanding back down again and spraying again

iv taken out the old lights as there sealed beams and bulbs have gone so the H4 replacements are going in today,i painted the rings around them matte black as well as behind them.

i also painted behind the grill black as i thought the green made the front panel look like a one piece solid item with no dimension to it

Fantastic work mate, she looks stunning.
One thing tho...im sure that's the s111 bonnet, did the s11a not have the razor edge bonnet, rather than the deluxe bonnet you have fitted on your landy.
