dirty hands

Now then,

Mi land Rover is in for the MOT, my friendly local mechanic recons it will pass once he gets the exhaust sorted. The rear section had parted company with the middle. The middle section looked like a reet bodge job of crap welding n pipe. The reason it was a bodge of crap welding n pipe is because it had to be botched to make it fit with the PTO winch. My friendly local mechanic has had to fabricate a section to undo the bodged bit. Is this normal? I can't beleave that every one with a PTO winch has to butcher the exhaust to make it fit?

Any one come across this before? Mi friendly local mechanic has done a propper job so its just for information really. Is there a 'special' bit that is available on the market? or have I got a none standard PTO set up?

MOT tomorrow, fingers crossed. Cheers

Did it pass? you can buy a piece of straight through pipe to replace the middle box.

Sadly not Grunt, rear brake drum was contaminated by oil from a perished seal. It was such a small damp patch too, bearly noticable. Still, its back now. I have missed it....

Exhaust is shiney new, gas tight and rattle free. Magic!

My zorst is a reet bodge job. Comes orf me V8, joins up with a series zorst via a flexi pipe which I had to bend like buggery ter git it around me overdrive, then it oiks out thru the rear PTO hole.

S'got beer cans jubilee clipped over a couple of joints & support straps made out of an old leather belt................passed the MOT couple of weeks back mind!

When I'm feeling flush ahm gunna git me a custom stainless'un made. :D

Hells bells, sounds like mine before I took it to the garage. Mechanic shakes his head and says 'did you do that?'.....me, no. It was like that when I bought it! Honest...
