These were bought from ebay for about £30 a few years back and have been sat in the loft since.
Having spent a couple of weeks with an MGF (selling it for my mum) I found the seats particulatly good:

  • they've got thin bases
  • they've got good bolsters but not bucket like
  • they've got simple mountings
  • they've got integral MG/Rover seatbelt clips fitted which move with seats
  • half heather is the best of both
  • they're cheap
fitting consisted of grinding off the rear mounts, calculating the best height and then making a new rear mount. I decided to make the seats 'quick release' for box access. The back mountings just slot in then there are two M10 nuts at the front. Whole seat out in 40 seconds!

The MGF seats give me 22cm of movement forward & back.

So far pretty happy. Hope this helps anyone thinking of a swap.

very nice work mate ...:)

i'm still on with the basics on mine, but i fancy doing the same with a pair of audi a2 seats in the future, very slim and comfortable :)

The gentleman I got my MOD 90 from installed used Saab seats.. and they are great, comfortable and bolted right on..
