Hi
After some info please guys , after an incident with water and BECM a messege on dash board saying airbag fault has come up and now my M.O.T is due will it fail ?

Any sensible comments would be grateful

I assume you mean the SRS. If it has side airbags, check the yellow connectors under the seat. If you have been at the BECM you may have disturbed one.

Yes the SRS is flashing on the dash had to take the becm out to dry it out few months ago , plugged them all back in so not sure what to do now

SRS is nothing to do with the BECM, look at RAVE. Usual problem is bad connections either on the side airbags or the rotary coupler behind the steering wheel.

Airbag warning light on is not an MOT fail .....YET..... but will be from Dec 2011 apparently..

As Datatek said - check all yellow connections are back in securely. Had this issue after removing seats, cable got stuck when seat moved back and pulled plug slightly, drove me round the bend!!!:crazy:

Will pass at moment unless you have a realy to the letter tester!

i know it sounds soft but i had the same problem and just turned out to be a dry joint on the fuse it may not be but you never know
