Can't seem to reset the memory seats on my P38. I've had a read of the hand book, looked on Rave and did a search on here but can't seem to see how to do it.
The problem occur'd when I lent the vehicle to my Dad, he pressed one of the memory seat buttons whilst trying to adjust the seat and now all it seems to do is keep moving back into one of the preset memory positions and I can't stop it doing it. I have never set the presets up since I have had the vehicle, so I am presuming they were set by one of the previous owners.
The mirrors try to adjust every time I open the drivers door as well.
No matter which button I press it keeps moving back into one of the preset positions. It also keeps beeping periodically but doesn't display anything on the dash.
Can anybody shine a little light on my predicament please?

For seats you press and hold the memory switch and button number 1 both at the same time. Can do the same with button 2 for a second driving position.
For the mirrors I think you put the car in reverse and hold the memory switch. Can't remember; I'm sure someone will confirm. It should flash up confirmation on the dash.

the problem I'm having is that every time I go to move the seat it just moves back to one of the preset positions.

Could be earth connection to switch. Its obviously staying live until it finds a preset position rather than just switching on and off as you move it/let go. I'd check the connections first. These seats do have their own ecu/memory pack situated under the seat, which is another possibility.

Dirty connections inside the switches too if not used for a while. Give each one in turn a press, hold it down and 'work' it gently side to side while holding it down. Don't spray anything onto the switches though. Does it select a different memory position depending on which one you press? To set them you hold down the memory button and while it's pressed press 1 or 2 and hold it until it beeps and says 'seat memory stored' (or words to that effect) on the dash.
