Didnt really know where to post this. Thought this was as good a place as any.

So, i bought a Samsung netbook to use memory map instead of having a million OS maps. Only the dam thing is playing up. MM opens, see's the GPS and tracks for a while, but then stops. I then have no choice but to close MM which brings up a warning box that says "failed to terminate 232 thread" You close the box and it says not responding and you have to open task manager to force close the program.

Tried moving the GPS to a different USB port still the same thing happens.

The netbook is running windows 7 (basic)
GPS is a BU-353 i think.


Anyone offer any help? I have tried a different GPS but still the same problem.

Was thinking about changing from windows 7 to XP. Got a copy from a friend.

Any ideas welcome.

Can't offer much help except to say that I run MM on XP and have never had a problem, so it may be worth you upgrading.

Cheers Diesel. Im thinking this is the way forward, i cant see another option to be honest. But i suppose id be downgrading to XP really
