Should we have 'Members Ride' Section

Is it me or is there no "members' rides" section where members can post pics and describe their land rovers and what modifications they've done to them/ trips they've done?

I know there are the galleries, but i've been trying to see what other members have done to their Range Rovers. I'm struggling to find much because the forum has so many posts!! its like information overload!!

Anyway, just an idea i've seen on other car forums, i quite like it, not that i post much! Some members would post entire build threads from buying the car through complete engine rebuilds etc. very handy if you plan to follow suit.

I quite like the idea of this. I know that there are loads already kicking about but they get lost with all other posts.
I could create a new section then move current threads on request maybe??

Vote at the top of the page!
 
Probably easy to do. Modify the pictures section on the 'Landy Talk' bit to be more like the regular threads.

As a relative noobie although I have quite enjoyed looking through the "galleries" would be nice to be able to link to threads etc...

Members may be encouraged to link to/from their gallery / build threads as
they wish.

Not to sure "Members Rides" is an appropriate title though, may be open to abuse:)

As a relative noobie you may not have noticed that anything anyone says or does is almost certain to be abused :D
 
'Members rides' unfortunately conjures up the idea of pikey posting pictures of minty naked and lakesrob posting pictures of 110w naked.






















They really should put clothes on before being allowed to post.

All kinds of dodgy references could be thrown up by that name. When I first saw the thread title I thought it was either going to be horses or some kind of Readers Wives section :eek::D

I think it is fine to have the vehicles section if that is what people want, but why not call it something more stylish! Members Vehicles? Members Landrovers? Almost anything would be better than rides.

Personally I'd rather have a 'showroom' added to each member's profile.. would link people with their vehicles..
 
Or what about a "Projects" section then? There are some very worthwhile threads covering peoples rebuilds of various Land Rovers but you need to go hunting for them. Having them under one banner would be handy.
 
over on arbtalk we have land rover appreciation group thread where everyone posts their landys also various show us your... tractors/diggers/chainsaws etc something like that might work? show us your s1/11/111/defender/disco/rangy etc threads?
that way if you want to look at some pics for ideas for your s111 say just look up show us your series 111 thread and bingo loads of pics of s111s :)
