Hi!
After a brief but of hill climbing i set off home! As the trip home went on i noticed a ticking noise coming from the engine, then i started loosing power until the disco cut out!

Its a 'N' plate 300tdi!

There was smoke bellowing from under the bonnet! Turns out the wiring had melted to the coolant temp sensor located in the cylinder head and the sensor which goes into the back of intercooler inlet ( long polished piece next to cylinder head)!

Now after taking things to bits iv traced one loom back to a clip just behind the O/S front shock and anothe seems wired into the main loom which goes through into the dash!

Iv just looked over my mates range rover running a 300 tdi and his coolant temp sensor didnt even have a loom running to it just a plug sat in the head and the sensor on back of the intercooler inlet has beeb blanked off!

At the minute im thinking im going to have to tidy the looms up, cut back the plastics and re wire them! Does anyone know anything extra which mught helpnor save time!

Iv also got a egr delete to fit, im guessing i have to blank the short intercooler pipe which hooks up to the egr and intercooler inlet!

Cheers
