If you remember, I was challenged by my inactive air suspension after the alternator change a few weeks ago. Well fair play to the dealer who was over 2 and a half hours away, he sent a cheque back in full for the work agreed. Honest garages do exist! Enough of that ....
My car is now out of warranty and despite our bumpy start together (air susp still not working, going to check out Charlies idiot guide later on), I absolutely love this car so looking around, self diagnostic machines are the way forward as I've been to the village garage five times to have mine reset - damned evap valve over something blah blah.
I have read and read about diagnostic machines for hours on here and other website (shame on you, how very dare you) and it's honestly a minefield. I know RSW comes highly recommended but to cover everything it looks like you need the All Comms and EAS unit. I've seen one called a Bearmach Hawkeye and another from Britpart. Grrrr, it's a minefield. Now as I'm now 40 and my hair is thinning more than a little, can anybody help me tearing out the last remaining strands I have left. Talk to me like a moron, I don't care but please help!!!! In an ideal world, I want to read/reset faults, sort out my air suspension and ideally program a second key as I don't have a spare. I read one of the machines does this but after reading so much stuff I can't remember which one it was.
I await any Guru's advice.
Oh 2005 4.4 LPG Vogue by the way in case it doesn't come up in my profile. I've another little ditty to post soon as well which is a crazy gearbox related one
