I am in the process of putting a TDV6 in my defender and I have now moved onto mating the ZF 6 speed manual gear box on to the LT230.
I have roland at ACR having a look at this but I know of another LRO defender owner who has re machined the output of the ZF with a shaft that mates with the LT230.
However this requires a housing between the two, he has used an old Chrysler Torqueflight 3 speed housing and made a steel sealing plate to prevent ingress of rubbish.
I also see that Advance adapters in the US make a variety of transmission to transfer box adapter.
Apart from a one off which I can get Roland at ACR to do, does anyone know of a company in the UK making transmission to Transferbox adapters?
There is one in Australia who will make a output shaft adapter and a variety of housings between Holden etc trnsmissions but no one in the UK seems to do it..
Any ideas.
