hey guys. rover started pulling to the right when braking a few days ago. every day it would pull harder than before, have a harder time to get the vehicle to stop, and feel more spongy. stopping rather quickly and hard at a traffic light tonight the pedal felt like it gave in and slowly hit the floor. it will only stop when i pump the brakes now but even then it still takes awhile to stop. i havent checked for leaks but im not getting any dashboard lights turning on so im guessing im not losing any fluid. its too dark tonight to see if anything is leaking but my best guess is the master cylinder seal went bad.

accumulator on some abs give pedal issues and also I'd start with the physical things like brake pads okay,no swivel hub oil leaks and a brake fluid change as per rave.

****ed brake fluid causes loads of weird issues and worth looking at unless it has been done within 2 years

thanks dude. i went outside this morning and rechecked for leaks and didnt see anything until i had the wife come out and push the pedal while i looked around.

there was a fine mist of brake fluid spraying from what looked like the corner of the coolant reservoir. i took it off and saw the rusted brake line that runs under it.

this should be a simple fix for me since almost every car ive had i had to change a brake line at some point. i was just so quick to think it was the master cylinder because i didnt see any leaks at all until this morning when i could actually get some help.
