Eakring lane (past the back of the desert) is a good one - not been down there for a while though and it can get quite tricky due to washouts etc, so best not to try on your own!

Theres another two or three around the eakring end of the lane too, take a look on an OS map - but double check any lane you choose to try hasn't been downgraded to a bridleway etc.

you'll find eakring lane blocked by a locked steel gate just before you get to what used to be the desert to stop anyone getting on the quarry.

and i wouldnt advise anyone to try to get on there either you will loose your motor.

i used to spen alot of time up there when i was younger with the permision of the landowners until the idiots started nicking cars and burning them out up there.

Last I knew, it was still a BOAT - but it does regularly have TRO's placed on it due to surface degredation
